Celebrate diversity and inclusion at Longue Vue House & Gardens during Pride Week 2019, during a family-centered event on the Longue Vue grounds.

Longue Vue was the family home of Edith and Edgar Stern, two of New Orleans’s leading philanthropists and activists of the 20th century. The Sterns used their beautiful home to entertain, and also to champion causes in civil rights and social justice. On June 9th we will honor their legacy by opening Longue Vue to all families for our 4th Annual Family Equality Day.

Please join us on Sunday, June 9, 10am-1pm for a celebration including performances, crafts, kid-friendly activities, and a resource tent tailored to LGBTQ+ families. Visit the home, tour the gardens, and explore the history and legacy of the remarkable Stern family.

This family-focused event is free; all are welcome.

Parking is limited. Please bike, carpool, or rideshare. There is no parking on Bamboo Road. Overflow parking is available at Metairie Academy for Advanced Studies, 201 Metairie Road.
