Free grief counseling will be available at the LGBT Community Center Saturday June 18 from 1-4 PM. Free rides (up to $20) are available from UBER.
Counselors will be available for 20-30 minute one-on-one grief counseling sessions related to the Orlando shooting and the NOLA homicides of queer and gender non-conforming people of color- Goddess Diamond and Erica “E” Davis, may they both rest in power and peace.
Participants will learn about the grief process for survivors of traumatic events and have some time to express their feelings and concerns with a volunteer counselor. Information on how to access more in-depth therapy will be available.
The LGBT Community Center is located at 2727 South Broad St. and is a fully accessible building.
